and thanks for visiting the C.A. Cali Productions webpage! I'm Chuck Cali,
President of C.A. Cali Productions. After 30 years as a musician, I decided
to start (Pacific Entertainment Promotions) in 1993 working with original Artists
such as monster rock-jazz/fusion guitarist, Erik Torjesen and jazz drummer
extraordinarie, Wally Schnalle. Sadly Erik passed away in 2001 of cancer, he
was only 34. In 2003 we changed our name to C.A.Cali Productions and continue
to build and refine our Artist roster.
Our goal is to save our clients time and money which of course is really the same thing, by utilizing our expertise in the entertainment industry. I have been a musician for over 30 years and Brenda (my daughter) who also has a music background, has worked with me since about 1998. She is currently VP of Sales and Marketing but will one day take over the reins I'm sure! We are based in Northern California (San Jose) however, we book all over the US.
Before we contact an entertainer on your behalf whether it's a Band, DJ, or Celebrity Impersonator we get to know a little about you, your company, and your event. We narrow down your criteria, budget, time-frame for the entertainment. Then we start making our Artist calls. Usually when we call our people they aren't at home and they don't all work by cell phone. That means of course we wait, you wait until they call us back. You will have peace of mind as you go about your daily business, knowing that we are still on-the-clock for you. We follow up and stay on top of our phone calls even on weekends. We get quotes, we call you back and we may negotiate. If the pricing we quote doesn't fit your budget we talk about other options or we will call other Artists until we find one that will work within your budget. When we have an agreement with you we put your Artist on hold by phone. Then we must soon complete a contract and receive a deposit so we can legally contract the Artist so they will not book another event on your date.
C.A. Cali Productions charges a 10-20% entertainment fee. This varies depending on how much work is involved in securing your entertainment and getting the contracts done. Sometimes we are asked to come to the event to help insure things run smoothly with our entertainment but these are typically corporate events. However we are glad to attend any event if either Brenda or I are available so please don't hesitate to ask!
Our artists are all excellent entertainers committed to the business of making music and meeting your expectations. C.A. Cali Productions is committed to "providing you with the best performers for your entertainment dollar." We do not recommend anyone we haven't seen in a “live” performance. We attend each of our Artists' performances at least once a year to insure that the quality and integrity of their performance remains high.
